Rain Chances Today and Sunday

Looks like rain might enter our picture again LATER today. We are looking at a chance of severe weather for Sunday.

I'm not too excited about rain prospects for today. Some areas of Middle TN could see a pop-up shower or storm. The big rains come in late Saturday night and Sunday where 1 to 2 inch numbers could be very common. Saturday, during the day, looks very nice with highs in the middle 70's.

I've moved the two radars on the blog up close to the top on the right-hand side for obvious reasons. One takes you to the NWS-Nashville radar, another is the Wunderground radar (referenced above). Both are excellent.

Looking at yesterday here in Cookeville, we received .91 inches of rainfall...just under 1 inch. I checked briefly last night and found many locations with more than an inch. The CoCoRaHS daily rainfall report will be interesting to see. Remember, you can select any state...you may also click on the precipitation header and it will sort the highest to the lowest.

Lastly, we have a couple of cool things for you all to check out. The first is the Cookeville WebCam...it takes a snapshot about every 1 minute or so. The second is our Emergency Management Agency's weather page. Enjoy!
