Ike Lumbering Toward Texas

Hurricane Ike is out in the Gulf of Mexico, gaining strength, and moving (albeit, slowly) toward Texas.  Latest indications are he will hit somewhere between Corpus Christi and Brownsville on Saturday.

Back here locally in Cookeville, TN..our weather calls for a chance of showers today through the weekend.  Speaking of showers, we picked up .04" yesterday afternoon around 6 pm.  I drove through a heavy downpour yesterday on Interstate 40 between Cookeville and Crossville.
