Arctic Blast Returns Sunday!

THE WEEKEND OUTLOOK
Big weather changes are in store for us. First, rain is in our forecast for today under cloudy skies with highs in the mid 50's.

Rain continues overnight as a front comes through with lows around 32°..Sunday's forecast is for falling temperatures, chance of snow flurries and strong winds.

By Sunday night, we'll be down to near 10° with wind chills below zero. Take precautions with outdoor pets, make sure your garden hoses are not attached to the faucet, etc.

TITAN FOOTBALL
Our Tennessee Titans host the Pittsburg Steelers.  We can clinch the home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a victory.  GO TITANS! Fans will need to bundle up during the game as northwesterly winds will be blustery...around 15 mph for the entire game.  Slight chance of snow showers with temperatures falling through the 20's. DECEMBER RAINFALL
Finally, many of you have talked to me about how much rain has fallen. Here are the updated numbers (courtesy of my CoCoRaHS rain gauge)...6.66" of rain has fallen since December 1st and we've had measurable rainfall for 5 straight days. In the 19 days of December, we've had 12 days with rain recorded. Normal rainfall for the entire month of December is 5.73". A wet month indeed. Nashville's NWS has a Drought Information Statement.
