Changing Weather Ahead

After reaching the low 20's for highs yesterday, temperatures are recovering nicely this morning.  See cloudy camera shot above from Cookeville's Webcam.  They've risen steadily since midnight.  Our low for today occurred at 12:08 pm (My Weather Station live history here).

Our expectation is for temperatures to continue their way upward to around 41° as rain will move into Middle Tennessee later this afternoon.  Some stations in west Tennessee are reporting light sleet.  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for extreme west Tennessee.

Our crazy December weather continues as we'll see highs on Christmas Eve in the 50's with rain and possibly a return to sunshine for Christmas Day with highs in the upper 40's.  Rain returns after Christmas with a slight likelihood of severe weather in our area.  We'll continue to watch this developing situation.
