Near Record Highs on Saturday

GOLF ANYONE?
Our record for Saturday is 67°...we're thinking around 70° for the high tomorrow.  Winds will be particularly strong as gusts could reach 35 mph.  Just as our friend, Davis Nolan, at Nashville WX says, I wouldn't venture on the roof to remove lights nor would I be out on the area lakes. I say 'Go play golf and be safe!'

BIG STORMS POSSIBLE
Strong storms are projected to move through our area late Saturday night.  Don't want to sound like chicken little, but I have noticed tornado watches out in the plains states.  Most of the severe weather should stay to our west, but I'd be on the lookout, especially after midnight. Weather.gov is an excellent site to visit! I will monitor the latest and bring fresh, up-to-date information as they happen.

HOW WE CHANGE SO QUICK
There is an old saying around these parts...It says 'If you don't like our weather, wait a minute and it will change'....I'm amazed we were at 8° a few days before Christmas and will be near 70° a few days after Christmas!

CLOSING THE 2008 BOOK
As we close out 2008, I'll post our updated precipitation information.  As stated in previous posts, December has been a month to remember as we've surpassed the 8" mark in rainfall this month.  More information coming soon.
