Waking Up To Snow

Temperatures are in the mid 20's here in Cookeville to start this morning!  We have 1.5" of snow on the ground here at my home.   It is almost like picture postcard in our backyard.

We will go through a slight warming trend for the weekend as highs will reach 50° on Saturday and 54° on Sunday.  Rain moves in on Sunday night.

*Latest, Local Forecast*

The police scanner for our city and county has been very quiet.  Appears that most folks have yet to venture out this morning.

According to Jeff Ray @ Nashville WX , the Music City had it's first measurable December snow in 8 years.

In addition to our snow last evening, we recorded 1.56" of rain and melted snow in the CoCoRaHS gauge since 7 a.m. Thursday.  This gives us 4.68" in the last 3 days.  5.59" for the first 12 days of December.
