Another Cold Day

****8:45 PM UPDATE****
Sleet falling right now in Cookeville.  Radar showing more moving into Cookeville city limits.  Bridges and overpasses could become hazardous.  Sleet and snow flurries should end later tonight.  No accumulation (at this time) is expected.

****2:00 PM UPDATE****
Seeing a few snow flurries flying.  Latest radar indicates a few echoes.  Don't think it will be more than the occasional flurry of snow.  Model madness is all around us as the last release shows a significant ice/snow event for us on Tuesday.  I'm NOT ready to go there just yet and will continue to monitor the latest....

~More later...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Sunday morning to everyone!

Should be another chilly day for most of us here in Middle TN.  Temperatures are starting out in the teens this morning across our area.  Sunny this morning, but clouds return this afternoon as highs are expected to only reach the upper 30's.

*Latest, Local Forecast*

Our next weather event appears to be coming in on Monday night.  At this time, we expect an all rain event.  These systems, however, can have a tendency to give us a chance of wintry weather.  We'll watch it closely and keep you informed on the latest.  Areas to our north and west are under a Special Weather Statement.

If you don't have anywhere to go to church today, check out Trinity Assembly in Algood, TN.  If you aren't in the immediate Cookeville area, you can go to trintyalgood.com and see the services live this morning at 8:30 am and 10:30 am.

Make it an excellent day!

Sure is a frosty one out there! But nice and sunny too.

Yesterday we were at the Children's Museum in Cookeville - all sorts of great hands-on stuff for the kids! Maybe they would enjoy a weather exhibit?

Is it just me or did I see some light snow flurries falling today in Cookeville?

Your eyes aren't deceiving you! :)

Maybe we should come up with something for them!

I noticed there was some light snow on the radar coming this way. Do you think we might be able to get like a dusting?

Jim...

Probably not tonight. We do, however, have a chance later this week.

Are you trying to say we might not have school tomorrow, or might get like 2 hours late? :)

Hello Optimistic Student...I'm thinking you'll be going ON TIME tomorrow...unless, of course, we get more precipitation and the temperature drops a few more degrees.

Adam...

You are probably correct about getting missed again. Don't think southern sections of Middle TN will see anything but rain. It'll be a cold rain, too!
