Strong Storms Possible

Our Monday weather is headlined by a SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT.  Moderate to severe storms are possible again today.  I don't think we'll see the widespread outbreak of storms like Good Friday. That being said, you'll want to keep an eye on the weather.

*Latest, Local Forecast*

Weather History for This Date
2006-17 tornadoes strike in a single county and all in one day. Muscatine County, Iowa is the unlucky county with that distinction.

Fun Weather Site of The Day
Hurricane season will be upon us soon (June) and I wanted to take a moment and feature the National Hurricane Center's website as the FWSOTD.  Wikipedia has a great entry on the history of NHC.

Hey Michael, for your readers who need a portable weather radio, Woot.com is selling TWO for $20 + shipping. But it's today (Tuesday) only so you have to grab them. This particular one is rechargeable with a hand-crank option PLUS allows entry of the area-specific codes for weather warnings. Looked like a great deal to me, I'm a regular "Wooter" and happened to notice these.
