Showery Saturday Forecast





RAIN POSSIBLE EACH DAY:
Light rain showers have rolled through the Cookeville, TN area this morning and we do have a slight chance for rain each day through the entire forecast period. Expect highs mainly in the 70's and lows in the 60's through the period with cloudy skies.


WINTER WEATHER OUTLOOK:
I'll be posting my thoughts through various sources concerning the upcoming 2011-2012 Winter Weather Outlook. This outlook is easily my most popular post as many of you are interested in just what type of winter weather may occur.

INTERESTING OBSERVATIONS:
Let's talk about some interesting observations for 2011.

We've recorded 54.51" of precipitation through today (September 17) compared to a normal amount of 39.97". This represents an increase of nearly 15" or 136.4%.

Typically for an entire year we average just over 55" (55.08").

So far for September, we stand at 6.22" with most of that coming from the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee during the Labor Day holiday weekend.
