Strong Storms This Afternoon

A strong cold front is set-up just to our north in central Kentucky. The front will sink southward into middle TN this afternoon setting off strong to severe thunderstorms across the area. We'll put the probability of precipitation at 70%

MUCH COOLER TODAY:
We expect highs today to reach  around 90°, which is quite a change from the last couple of weeks.

OVERNIGHT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS:
Tonight, showers and thunderstorms likely across all of middle TN with some storms reaching severe level. Danger in these storms will include possible damaging winds, frequent lightning and brief, heavy rainfall.

UNSETTLED WEEK WITH COOLER TEMPS:
A continued chance of showers and storms Tuesday through the end of the week. Temperatures will fall back in the 80's for highs and the mid 60's for lows.
