Nice Sunday (Snow Mon-Wed)

Next rain/snow event is cranking up out west!

FEELING LIKE SPRING: Not quite that warm, but close at temperatures will climb into the middle 40's today (Sunday)Search Amazon.com for davis vantage vue across the area. This morning, it is right at freezing, folks in Fentress County just to our northeast are dealing with some freezing rain issues. We won't see any of that in the Cookeville/Putnam County area. Look for the sun to make an appearance as we transition into late morning and early afternoon. Winds will be light to less than five mph from the northwest. A much nicer day than on Saturday.

THE WEEK AHEAD: Monday is expected to be cloudy with a chance of snow moving in on Monday night after midnight. A rain/snow mix for Tuesday and all snow Tuesday night lingering into Wednesday. Expect below normal temperatures (same old story) for the beginning of March. We do, however, see warmer weather by next weekend.

Daily Weather Story
The tsunami warning issued for the Hawaiian Islands turned out to be a non-event. What could have been a terrible disaster was avoided. Even with great science, things like tidal wave activity and weather are both still very hard to predict.
