Cold Start Includes Frost But Warmer Day Ahead

It's a chilly start across much of the Upper Cumberland this morning with plenty of frost. Some areas, especially around rivers and lakes, are dealing with freezing fog. Temperatures are in the middle 20's at 7 am. Later today, expect the high to reach 53° in Cookeville, TN.

Overnight - Rain showers will be mostly scattered. There is a slight chance the rain may mix with snow and a low of 37°. Rain and snow chances 60%. Little or no snow accumulation and temperatures won't be cold enough for the snow to stick to road surfaces.

Wednesday - Just a 20% chance of rain showers before noon. Hi of 46°.

Rest of week - We're going to be in a cooler period with highs in the upper 40's to near 50° backing down to around 40° on Saturday. Lows will generally be below freezing each night with teens expected on Saturday night. A slight chance of snow flurries for Friday night.
